April 18, 2008 Los Angeles - 801-chan steps down from being the President of 801 media. Asked why, 801-chan responds, “I realized that I would never compare to Tomo-chan. She’s just sooo much better than me. In her words, she’s 1337.”

Tomo-chan was only more than happy to fill the position and become the world leader but only under one condition. “I had only one condition. 801-chan had to admit she was a cat. Since I’m now the President, it’s only obvious that she met my demands.”

When asking 801-chan whether or not she was a cat, she gladly responded, “meow meow”.

Always in a celebratory mood, Kampai popped the champagne and began drinking even before the announcement. In fact, she started drinking at 5:00 am, before she even woke up. Asked how she was able to do this, Kampai responded. “When it involves alcohol, I can drink anytime. Even in my sleep.”

Tomo-chan’s speech during the festivities, “I’m 1337. I pwn 801-chan. She suxorz. Now where’s my YAOI!!!”

Our sister company DMP is coming out with the complete Speed Racer manga this April. They got these cool pop-up displays of Speed and Racer X to take with them to New York Comic Con. They have traveled around the office, and someone decided to have both of them peek over my cubicle.

I keep seeing them out the corner of my eye. And Bend thinks it is funny to hide behind them and start talking to me… So I can’t decide if they are cool…

Either way, I think they are going back in their boxes soon!!!

P.P.S. Kampai got a delivery from FedEx this morning that looks like A Foreign Love Affair… But I am going to be good today and NOT open other people’s mail before 1:00pm. After 1, it is totally fair game.

So you like totally won’t believe what I found today! *hair flip* It was an article about this thing called like yaoi or something. And I must say it is like totally rad! I mean seriously, yaoi has been around for like 30 years in Japan and like maybe a decade in the states. So like it is no wonder that people don’t know anything about it. And like even better, most people who write newspaper columns about it like don’t know anything about the subject either! Isn’t that just like totally freakin’ awesome?

Anyhoo, so I got the link to “Girls who love boys who do boys” in my inbox today and the article was like totally illuminating. So turns out that yaoi is “gay porn comics” and “yaoi” is Japanese for homosexuality! My college Japanese teacher like totally lied to me! Like, the nerve of her! My feelings are seriously hurt!

And like the best part? “They usually feature a dominant male character - tall and masculine - who deflowers a smaller, more androgynous teen.” OMG!! Did he say deflower!?!?! I think I am going to blush! Is my face getting red? Seriously, red splotches just don’t flatter me at all.

Well like whatever. I need to get back to finding more “pornograph specifically marketed at girls” and like hoping that the “next boy band in the pop charts is suspiciously gay.”

*end rant*

But you know… he does have a good point. You know all those boy bands back in the day that really couldn’t sing? Take New Kids on the Block for example. You know you only bought their cd cuz Donnie was hot!!!

So this was too good not to share! MTV has a new Real World/ Road Rules challenge currently airing. And I must say, this is definitely a fangirl’s dream. Not only do I get 1 guilty pleasure satisfied (my love for trashy reality TV shows), but I get 2 (watching cute guys kiss each other)!!!!

The two resident gay guys Tyler and Ben are totally making out in this season of The Gauntlet III!! Sadly, Tyler gets kicked off the show in the second episode. But MTV may be on to something here…

I am thinking even better would the A Shot of Love with Tila Tequila spin-off with 16 gay men and 16 straight women all competing for the love of our wonderful bishounen. (Of course a boy would have to win or their would be rioting outside the MTV buildings.)

Simon over at Icarus Publishing found this very interesting news article about TokyoPop’s upcoming book Karma Sutra! Looks like TP is packaging samplers of the manga with condoms and lubricant! *teehee* Which brings up the very interesting question…

So…. *sniff sniff*. It’s my last day here at 801 and I’m not sure what to say. I will hopefully still pop up here and there and make guest posts and other things.

10. Getting to meet all the yaoi artists. I’m going to be soooo jealous later on this year when they bring someone to Yaoi Con… I’m going to see if I can sneak in an autograph or something… *starts pondering how to get autograph*

9. Seeing BoyzRule’s eyes bulge out at his first bishounen auction last year. Seeing crabhatyeah all pissed off at this year’s bishounen auction, especially when the Doll was performing.

8. Reading all the yaoi I want… for free!!! This includes stealing all the June books to read. Hah! Suckers… they probably didn’t know 801-chan, Kampai, and I stole all their books when their heads were turned.

7. Hijacking 801-chan’s account. She’s pretty stoopid for not changing her password. But it’s not like I wouldn’t be able to steal her new password or change it if I wanted to…

6. Telling 801-chan she’s a cat… *meow*. Well… she IS a cat.

5. Seeing Kampai make penis-shaped shaved ice…. and seeing you guys “eat it” at the Suite party… OMG!!!

4. Receiving penis-shaped items from everyone at Yaoi-Con. I can’t believe we had penis cakes, penis popsicles, penis donuts… and of course… phallic candles!!!! Thank you, we were impressed!

3. Bend being auctioned at Yaoi Con. He’s such a good sport… PLUS he did an awesome job. I’m glad that 801-chan, Kampai, and I forced asked him to do it.

2. Everyone one of you in the forums, the blogs, and the people I’ve met at Yaoi Con. I’m so glad that I got to put some faces to the people who are on the blogs and forums. Plus they give us moolah, which we can spend to license even more yaoi!!!!

1. The boys in the bathroom. I will never forget the 801 shrine. The boys better perform at Yaoi-Con. >_< My hope is BoyzRule, Render, Bend, and new guy… who will currently remain anonymous… Village people anyone? BTW… Bend and BoyzRule’s relationships keeps getting more and more scandalous… but I’ll leave it to 801-chan to tell everyone.

So, goodbye everyone. I hope all your hopes and dreams will be filled with yaoi. Your discussions of whether or not cat boys constitute as bestiality, tentacle sex, and other insightful topics on the forums will be missed.

So next week is our lovable fangirl’s last week at 801 Media Inc. *sniff* *sniff* But she has promised to grace us with her presence on the forums, blogs and newsletter in the future. Ahhhh! So that post has been up for like days and I totally didn’t realize it. I was busy taking pictures for the post that I will be putting up later today!

Okay, so what do I want for Xmas? Actually, I don’t really want anything… Or rather, everything I want is too expensive for someone else to get for me. And I think I am too old for Christmas presents. So I am treating myself this Christmas. I am getting my ears pierced for Christmas and investing in a nice pair of diamond studs. Pretty sweet, nee?

I have been meaning to get my ears pierced for years, but I don’t trust the 15-year-old working at the mall and getting paid minimum wage to put holes in me. So I actually found this famous tattoo parlor close to my parents house that has a piercing certification from some organization! Sounds a bit more legitimate to me than the teenager at Claires…

Of course, I would love more yaoi, more books and more chocolate. But I really don’t need a holiday to justify buying them! *teehee*

So 801-chan has been an extreme pain lately since it’s so close to the holidays. A few blogs below during her interview she even mentioned we didn’t ask her the all-important question - What does 801-chan want for the holidays?

Well… being the great and perfect friends that Kampai and I are, we asked her… probably about a week or so ago. And what do we get…. no response. Nothing. She completely ignored us.

I’m suspecting that she’s hiding herself in the corner with a bunch of yaoi and she doesn’t want to share. So, I think everyone should pester her so we find out what SHE wants for Christmas - since it’s only a week away and to find out what yaoi she’s trying to hide from us.
