Shipping Destinations

The 801 Media Inc. Store is happy to ship to almost any destination. If you do not see your country listed, please contact our customer service department at contact(at)801media(dot)com for shipping rates and information before placing your order.

Shipping Rates

Our carrier of choice is the United States Postal Service. Shipping is calculated on the weight of the product plus a small handling fee. However, USPS does offer flat rate shipping to all destinations regardless of weight. Depending on your destination and order total, flat rate shipping may be a cheaper alternative.

Please remember that depending on what you order, certain shipping methods may not be available. For example, orders containing shot glasses and other merchandise cannot be shipped in an envelope. If you have any questions about shipping, please feel free to email us at contact(at)801media(dot)com. If you end up selecting the wrong shipping, don't worry. We will contact you and notify you of any changes that we have to make to your order.

If you would like to receive packages from a different carrier, such as UPS, please consider placing your order at one of the many retailers that carry 801 Media Inc. books. See here for a list of such retailers.

USPS (our shipper of choice) raised their prices on May 14th and they also changed their shipping options. For domestic packages, everything is pretty much the same, just a bit more expensive. For international.... a lot of the shipping methods are no longer available. So here is the low down:

For international there are four different options:

(1) Global Express
(2) Express Mail International (EMS)
(3) Priority Mail International
(4) First Class International

Global Express

Global Express is express mail that is gauranteed delivery but very, very expensive. Shipping about 3 books to Europe with this option is about $75. So we don't recommend this service. But we are leaving it as an option on the site just in case you need your yaoi and you need it really fast.

Express Mail International (EMS)

EMS has two shipping options: (1) flat rate envelope and (2) packages mailed based on weight. The flat rate envelope can hold 2 801 Media Inc. books safely. The prices for that are:

Canada/Mexico - $23
All other destinations - $26

EMS has faster service than priority mail so it is a little bit more expensive.

Priority Mail International

Priority Mail is exactly like EMS, but a little slower and a little cheaper with 3 shipping options: (1) flat rate envelope and (2) packages mailed based on weight (3) Flat rate box. Again the flat rate envelope will hold 2 801 Media Inc. books. Those prices are:

Canada/Mexico - $10
All other destinations - $12

The flat rate box is huge!!! And can probably fit anywhere from 12 - 20 books depending on which books you order and the weight limit is about 20lbs! Those prices are:

Canada/Mexico - $24
All other destinations - $38

First Class Mail International

This service used to be called Air Letter Post, is based on weight and isn't always very reliable... But for most orders on the site, you will probably come out cheaper choosing a flat rate shipping method.
